'Reception from the fans was awesome'

David Seaman thanked the Arsenal fans for the “awesome” reception he received at Emirates Stadium on Saturday.

The former England international was in fine form as a legends side beat Milan Glorie in aid of the Arsenal Foundation.

Seaman came close to keeping out Christian Vieri’s equaliser, but he was delighted with how the day panned out.

“I got a good hand on it, but in the end we won so it doesn’t matter… I would’ve loved to have saved it though!” he said.

“It’s been fantastic, because I was here when Dennis had his testimonial and to come back and still get that reception was just awesome, so thanks guys!”
