Having joined Arsenal from Bayern Munich in June 2017, Vivianne Miedema is widely regarded as one of the most talented footballers in the world.
The deadly striker has an impressive resumé, playing a key role in winning two Bundesliga titles with Bayern Munich, as well as Arsenal’s 2018/19 Barclays FA Women’s Super League title-winning season. Having made just over 75 appearances for Arsenal, Miedema finds herself tenth in the club’s all-time goal-scorer table.
Miedema was influential in the largest victory in Barclays FA Women’s Super League history against Bristol City. Winning 11-1, Miedema scored 6 and assisted 4 before being substituted in the 70th minute.
A senior international, Vivianne made her debut for the Netherlands national side in September 2013. On June 5th 2019, Miedema became the all-time top goal-scorer of the Netherlands national side, scoring her 60th goal at just 23 years-old.
Miedema was an influential player for the Netherlands side that won the 2017 UEFA Women’s European Championship alongside fellow Arsenal players Danielle van de Donk and Jill Roord. The trio were also involved in the Netherlands side that finished runners-up in the 2019 FIFA Women’s World Cup.
