WHAT HAPPENED

We failed to build on last week's win over Tottenham in our second London derby in as many games as we were beaten 3-0 by West Ham United on Saturday morning.

Charles Sagoe Jr, playing his second game in 24 hours, was part of a much-changed starting XI due to a combination of injuries and squad promotions.

The first half was one of very few chances, with both sides locking horns in midfield for much of the opening exchanges.

Amani Richards had our best opportunity moments before the break, Amario Cozier-Duberry squaring to our forward after an impressive solo run, but he could only drag his effort wide of the post.

The hosts took the lead 10 minutes after the restart, Regan Clayton's impressive curling strike from outside the box finding the bottom right corner past a helpless Remy Mitchell, who had made an impressive stop to deny George Earthy moments before.

Dan Micciche made a double change in response to falling behind, with Mathaeus Roberts and Tino Quamina coming on, but the move was ultimately in vain, as West Ham doubled their advantage through Callum Marshall's low driven strike.

Gideon Kodua added a third for the hosts in the final 10 minutes, reacting quickest at the front post to tap in past Mitchell and condemn us to a disappointing defeat on the road.

WHAT IT MEANS

Defeat sees us drop two places to sixth in the Under-18 Premier League table after 14 matches.
