William Saliba: “We have to be focused”

William Saliba is under no illusions regarding Sunday’s trip to Old Trafford to take on Manchester United in the Premier League.

We will need to be as focused as ever to continue our fight for the Premier League title, and William cites our previous game against United as proof that there are no guarantees this weekend.

“We know it won’t be easy to win against them, so we have to be focused because they will be good against us,” he said.

“Last time we played them it was a tough game because they opened the scoring in the first half and, after we came back, in the second half it was 50/50.”

William has been ever-reliable and consistent in 2023/23, playing every minute in the Premier League and keeping 17 clean sheets in the process.

“There was another one, a centre-back at Wolves, Kilman, who has played every minute,” he commented. “Of course, we know we’ve got a lot of games. I’m so proud to play every single game.

“I have good teammates who cover me to keep clean sheets, and we’re an unbelievable team who can attack. We can defend, we can suffer. I think we are the best attack and the best defence.”
