'We're going to compete in all competitions'

Jonas Eidevall has challenged his squad to compete in all competitions this season.

Last term's third-placed finish in the Barclays FA Women's Super League secured Women's Champions League football this time around, and the Swede is targeting a strong campaign across the board while staying true to our signature brand of football.

"We’re going to be really ambitious with the season," Eidevall told Arsenal Media. "It means, for me, that we are going to compete in all the competitions that we take part in.

"We’re going to compete in the Women’s Champions League and do our very best to reach the final, we’re going to compete in the league, we’re going to compete in the domestic cups, and we’re going to do it our way.

"We have something good within this team. At the best of times they’ve played brilliant football and we’re going to continue to do that. We need to do some small, small changes in order for us to start performing a little bit better and beating the top teams when we play them.

"The investments that are currently being made in the women’s team to strengthen our staff and to strengthen our structure around the team, I’m so excited about that and it’s definitely going to give us all the tools that we need to deliver results in the competitions that we’re taking part in."
