Five goals, three different goalscorer… and eight points won. Our start to the 2017 Emirates Cup was certainly a positive one, and it left Arsene Wenger feeling justifiably satisfied.
Our 5-2 win against Benfica featured many stand-out performances, from Sead Kolasinac to Theo Walcott to Reiss Nelson, but the boss instead preferred to hail the team dynamic.

“It was a pacy English game, and of course the pitch is top quality and the rain made the game quite quick and on top of that we scored many goals,” Wenger told Arsenal Player.
“Unfortunately we conceded a few but overall it was a very positive game.
“Many of the goals were the consequence of our team play that we work on, so overall you can see that the guys have played together for a while and the combination play is good. We had good finishes and we always looked dangerous.”
