Voting is now open to determine who should be crowned our men’s Player of the Month for March.
With three wins and a draw claimed during the month, it was another successful one for Mikel Arteta’s team as we remained in the hunt for the Premier League title and booked a place in the Champions League quarter-finals.
But who was our standout performer in that time? We’ve narrowed it down to a shortlist of four, so select your favourite from these contenders and cast your vote below:
Kai Havertz
Kai kept up his superb form throughout the month, and became the first German player in Premier League history to score in four successive matches. Following on from his goals against Burnley and Newcastle United in February, he also netted against Sheffield United before bagging our late winner against Brentford to claim a 2-1 success.
Pushed further forward into a central striking role, Kai also grabbed an assist against the Blades, converted in the penalty shootout success against Porto and played in every minute of the four matches.
Martin Odegaard
Another player who didn’t miss a second of action in March was our skipper, who started it with the opening goal of the 6-0 drubbing of Sheffield United to hit his sixth of the campaign.
However it was an assist that was Martin’s moment of the month as he beat three players to pick out Leandro Trossard and finally break Porto’s resistance, before nervelessly converting his penalty to start the shootout in the best possible fashion.
Declan Rice
Declan ended the month by being named England captain on the occasion of his 50th cap, but in our colours he was exceptional once again. He grabbed an assist for Martin’s strike at Bramall Lane before getting on the scoresheet himself, and then took his seasonal tally up to a career-high six against Brentford.
He then put in two superb displays in midfield to grind out fine results against Porto and Manchester City, as well as dispatching his spot-kick in the Champions League last-16 tie.
Ben White
In the month that saw him pledge his future to the club with a new contract, Ben also etched himself into club history by bagging our 10,000th goal when he drilled home our sixth of the night against the Blades.
That was also one of three clean sheets he kept during the month as Porto and Manchester City were also kept at bay, and he also provided both assists during our 2-1 win against Brentford as he proved to be a huge influence at both ends of the field.
