We can confirm that Vivianne Miedema will leave the club when her contract expires at the end of this season.
The 27-year-old Dutch forward joined us from Bayern Munich in 2017 and went on to score 125 goals and provide 50 assists in her 172 appearances in Arsenal colours.
Vivianne played an integral part in the side which won the Barclays Women’s Super League title in the 2018/19 season, while she also won three FA Women's Continental Tyres League Cups during her time in North London.
Vivianne – who has made 13 appearances this season following her return from an ACL injury – is the current all-time top-scorer in the WSL, winning the WSL Golden Boot in the 2018/19 and 2019/20 seasons. She was voted Arsenal’s Player of the Season in the 2019/20 campaign and won the BBC Women’s Footballer of the Year award in 2021.
