Sokratis is adamant that his teammates are well-prepared for the threat of Olympiacos on Thursday night.
The Greece international has 90 caps so far for the national team and started his career in the Greek capital, so he's well-placed to brief his fellow players on the challenge that awaits us.
Record 44-time champions Olympiacos are currently top of the Super League 1 and having dropped out of this season's Champions League, they will provide stiff opposition in the imposing Karaiskakis Stadium.
Sokratis met the media ahead of the round of 32 clash - and here's what he said:
on it being rare to have a Greek player playing for a foreign club against a Greek club...
Indeed, this is quite big for me. We've been preparing in the best possible way for this fixture and of course, our mind is set on winning.
on the 35 passes before our third goal against Newcastle...
I think that it was an amazing goal. We showed again and I think now we've learned a lot from the new manager. So, we like this style of game and we like also to be enjoying the game. Every week and every game, we have to learn, we have to improve and I think every week is better for us.
on speaking with his teammates about the atmosphere...
We have had these sort of discussions with my teammates. They know everything, how hot and how tense the atmosphere in the stadium will be. What is for certain is that we are so proud to play against a top Greek club, what this means is that we're going to play against a club who for 90 minutes will have their minds focused on winning. We know this means that this fixture is going to be really difficult and really tough.
