We have responded to the challenge of reducing plastic waste by introducing reuseable cups at Emirates Stadium – and the results so far have been impressive.
- Our re-usable cup scheme replaces all single-use plastic pint and half pint cups, as well as paper soft drinks cups
- Arsenal was the first PL club to trial the scheme at the 2018/19 season
- We have since fully implemented the scheme at the start of 2019/20
- The scheme saves the use of around 20,000 single-use plastic cups per game, and more than half a million per season (including domestic and European cup games)
- We have already saved the use of 320,000 plastic cups since we started the project at the end of last season
- We have also replaced plastic straws and stirrers with paper and wooden alternatives
