Ethan Nwaneri scored the opening goal of Thursday’s 1-1 draw with Italy in the UEFA U17 European Championship quarter-finals.
Bending the ball into the top left corner from the edge of the area, it was Ethan’s third goal of the competition, having also scored against France and Spain.
After Mattia Liberali’s equaliser, Italy went on to win the tie 5-4 on penalties. Ethan scored England’s third goal in the shootout.
Italy will face Chido Martin-Obi and Denmark in the semi-finals at 6.30pm (BST) on Sunday, June 2.
