Wenger - We wish Ladies all the best

Arsene Wenger says Arsenal Ladies can qualify for the Women’s Champions League final if they transfer their strong domestic form to Europe.

The Ladies take on German side VfL Wolfsburg in the first leg of their semi-final at Meadow Park on Sunday having already knocked out former winners Turbine Potsdam en route to the last four.

Shelley Kerr’s team have been eliminated at this stage for the past two years and Wenger is predicting another stern test against the current Frauen Bundesliga leaders.

“They [Arsenal] have dominated English football for years now and we wish them all the best,” the manager told Arsenal Player.

“Wolfsburg is a club owned by Volkswagen and the ladies’ teams in Germany are very strong. It’s a huge target - if we beat them it’s a fantastic result.”

For supporters wanting to cheer Arsenal Ladies on at Boreham Wood FC on Sunday, tickets can be purchased from the turnstiles, priced at £5 for adults and £1 for under-16s
