Arsene Wenger says Arsenal have "100 per cent" belief that they can challenge for the title - but he insists it's "ridiculous" to discuss such matters this early in the season.
The Gunners have overcome an opening-day blip to make a storming start to the campaign and they lead the Premier League by two points after reeling off five consecutive victories.
Saturday's 2-1 win at Swansea City was another step in the right direction but Wenger wants his players to balance their ambition with humility.
"You believe 100 per cent [you can win it] or you don't believe, so that's how much our belief is," said the manager.
"I think in our job the most important thing is to have a good balance between ambition and humility. Ambition because of course we want to win but humility as well because we know we have only played six games and to speak today about the title is absolutely ridiculous.
"What we have done is to continue to have the same ambition, and I think the team has a good humility level and is conscious that we want to improve."
