Wenger - Let's respond the right way

Arsène Wenger

Arsene Wenger says he won't find it hard to pick up his players after Saturday's 6-3 defeat to Manchester City.

Arsenal's lead at the top of the Premier League was cut to two points after the weekend's results and the Gunners face another clash with a title rival when they play Chelsea two days before Christmas.

"It's not the end of the world but it's a big disappointment"

Despite the manner of Saturday's defeat at the Etihad Stadium, Wenger believes it's important not to go "overboard".

"If we cannot pick ourselves up by being top of the league what will happen if we are not top of the league?" Wenger said. "Let's not go overboard, it's a massive disappointment because we have lost a big game.

"But not matter what happens over the weekend we'll still be top of the league and what is important now is how we respond to that.

"It's not the end of the world but it's a big disappointment," he added. "When you come into a big game everybody wants to play.

"You have an opportunity to show how good you are and when you don't do it, it's a disappointment."
