Wenger - Impossible to change colours

Jordon Mutch

Arsene Wenger insists Arsenal would never change their colours even if someone offered the Club £100 million.

The Gunners' next opponents, Cardiff City, changed their home colours from blue to red at the beginning of last season under the instruction of Malaysian owner Vincent Tan - a decision that received widespread criticism from their fans.

"If you take the case of Arsenal, with the history of the Club, it would be extremely difficult"

But Wenger said it would be "impossible" to do the same at Arsenal.

"For us, it's impossible to change colours," Wenger said. "I don't know what happened at Cardiff but he [Vincent Tan] managed to do it.

"If you take the case of Arsenal, with the history of the Club, it would be extremely difficult.

"It is a coincidence that my whole life I managed only red teams."
