Arsene Wenger says Serge Gnabry's performance at Swansea City justified his faith in him.
The 18-year-old opened his account for the Club at the Liberty Stadium, keeping his cool to collect Aaron Ramsey's pass and find the bottom corner.
Gnabry's strike set up a vital 2-1 away win and Wenger was proud of the teenager.
"I feel he has justified my faith," the manager told Arsenal Player.
"I have seen already a year ago in training that this boy has potential, he has personality on the pitch and purpose, and he has shown that again so overall I feel it's very positive."
Arsenal's win leaves them clear at the top of the Premier League and Wenger was glad to see his team capitalise on their rivals' dropped points.
"You know we had a good possibility to grab an opportunity that was in front of us before the game," said Wenger.
"I always say that the mental strengths of the team is there as well. We took that opportunity, it was not easy but we did it so that should strengthen our belief."
