Wenger - Bendtner is unlikely to leave

Arsene Wenger is prepared to use Nicklas Bendtner this season if he stays at Arsenal and proves his fitness.

The Denmark international has not played for the Club since August 20, 2011 when Liverpool won 2-0 at Emirates Stadium. Since then Bendtner has spent time on loan at Sunderland and Juventus.

He has been linked with a number of clubs during the transfer window but, on Friday, Wenger admitted that Bendtner's departure is unlikely.

"The chances for him to leave now are very small," he said.

"If he does not leave and prepares well, and is fit, really fit, then I will use him.

"He is not training [with the first team] at the moment because he is coming back from injury and is not ready to integrate into the training sessions."
