Poldi - The title won't be decided now

Lukas Podolski says Arsenal's title ambitions won't be decided just by their games in February.

The Gunners have a two-point lead at the top going into Saturday's clash with Liverpool, and they face champions Manchester United at Emirates Stadium four days later.

Podolski is determined to help the team continue its run of form but insists there is a long way to go before any conclusions can be drawn.

"It always feels good when you play a team who is top of the league"

"We have now a run of key games and it's an important part of the season," Podolski said. "We are at the top of the league and we are on a good run.

"Everyone can beat everyone in the league and there are important matches coming now and in two or three weeks we will see what's happened.

"I think the [February] games are important but the decision about the title is not now. It's a long season with a lot of matches. We have big cup games against Bayern Munich and Liverpool coming up. They are also important matches. I think we are strong and we want to fight until the end.

"It always feels good when you play a team who is top of the league. We are having a good season and we are on a good run but the season is not ending now and there's a long way to go. I feel great to come back after a long injury and come into a team who are playing well."

Brendan Rodgers recently said his Liverpool side were not in the running for the title but Podolski believes the Reds should not be ruled out just yet.

"I think they are not out because the top of the league is very close," he said. "Inside maybe they think they can fight for the title.

"I focus on my club and we want to go there, win the match and get the three points. This is the most important thing for us."
