Damian Martinez will remain with Championship side Sheffield Wednesday until the end of the 2013/14 season.
The 21-year-old goalkeeper, who initially joined the Owls in October 2013, has gained valuable competitive experience at Hillsborough Stadium, featuring six times for the first-team so far.
Martinez made his senior debut for Arsenal last term, in the 6-1 Capital One Cup victory over Coventry City, and featured again for Wenger’s side in the following round against Reading.
A highly-rated stopper, he has been a regular for the Gunners’ under-21s in recent times, and is an Argentina youth international.
Everyone at the Club wishes Damian well for the remainder of the season at Sheffield Wednesday.
