Chuks Aneke continued his impressive season with a goal in Crewe's victory at Port Vale. Aneke stroked home a penalty after Mathias Pogba had opened the scoring in the first half. Brad Inman extended the lead further before Tom Pope pulled a goal back.

Johan Djourou played the whole match as Hamburg secured a crucial victory in their battle to stay in the Bundesliga. Petr Jiracek opened the scoring just before half-time, and Pierre-Michel Lasogga doubled the lead after 58 minutes. Hakan Calhanoglu's outrageous third, a 45-yard free-kick and goal of the season contender, wrapped up the scoring in stoppage time.

Francis Coquelin made a 10-minute cameo as Freiburg dropped into the Bundesliga relegation zone after this home defeat. Tobias Werner gave Augsburg the lead but Jonathan Schmid and Admir Mehmedi strikes either side of the break swung the game back the hosts' way. Paul Verhaegh levelled and late Halil Altintop and Andre Hahn strikes made sure of victory for Augsburg.
