Boss - I'll treat this as a league game

Arsene Wenger insists he will treat Saturday's FA Cup third-round clash with Tottenham as a "top level Premier League game”.

The Gunners go into the match on the back of a heavy Christmas schedule having played four games in the space of nine days.

However, Wenger says he will only rotate those members of his squad who are in danger of sustaining an injury.

"Their attitude has been absolutely fantastic since the start of the season and will be like that on Saturday"

"I will only rest the players who are on the fringes of injuries or are very tired," Wenger said. "But that will be very restricted to a minimal number of players.

“I just consider that it is our next game - we are Arsenal Football Club and we want to win the next game, that is vital for us.

"In this case I consider it a top level Premier League game, that means I have to play a team who has a chance to win a top level Premier League game."

The Frenchman praised the attitude of his players this season and he insists they are determined to win the derby.

"My players are highly focused on this game," he said. "They are determined to win every single game they play, their attitude has been absolutely fantastic since the start of the season and will be like that on Saturday."
