Arsenal Ladies will begin their defence of the FA Women's Super League against Liverpool Ladies at Emirates Stadium on Tuesday May 7, kick-off 7pm.
A league-record crowd of over 5,000 cheered on the Ladies to a 3-1 victory over Chelsea at Emirates last year and manager Shelley Kerr is hoping for a repeat of that fantastic show of support this time around.
“We’re extremely excited to be getting our league season underway at Emirates Stadium this year and we hope it will be an opportunity for supporters perhaps not too familiar with the women’s game to come down and see what we’re about,” she said.
Arsenal Ladies secured a domestic double last term, winning both the WSL and the Continental Cup, and also made it to the semi-finals of the Champions League and the FA Cup.
They progressed to the final of this season's FA Cup on Friday, April 26 following a 2-1 win against Liverpool at Anfield.
