Angha - I've had such a great time here

Martin Angha

Martin Angha says he will take nothing but good memories from his time at Arsenal.

The defender played his final game for the Club before his summer move to Bundesliga side FC Nuremberg in the under-21s' 1-1 draw against Liverpool on Friday.

Angha departs after three-and-a-half years in north London and, while sad at leaving his team-mates, he is looking forward to a fresh challenge.

"When the whistle went, I started to feel a bit emotional to be honest," Angha told Arsenal.com. "I started to realise, even in the warm up, that it was the last time I'd be standing next to Serge and the rest of my team-mates.

"I've been here for three-and-a-half years and I've enjoyed it a lot. I'm sad it's come to an end but I'm looking forward to a new challenge"

"It makes me sad because I've had a great time here. I've been here for three-and-a-half years and I've enjoyed it a lot. I'm sad it's come to an end but I'm looking forward to a new challenge.

"I had some great experiences like making my debut in the Capital One Cup against Coventry, playing against Olympiacos in the Champions League in Olympiacos and the NextGen Series. I've learned a lot here and I'll try to take that to Germany.

"I'm looking to get regular first-team football. Nuremberg been very interested in me from the start. They've wanted to bring me in as soon as they could. It's a nice place and they are a good club. It's close to Switzerland as well so everything is coming together and I'm very much looking forward to it.

"They told me that it's up to me. If I do well in training, I'll play. I'll be one of the youngest players in the team but I don't want to come across as a little kid there. I want to show who I am and show what I can do.

"If I play against teams like Bayern Munich and Dortmund in their stadiums, that would be fantastic for me. I'm 19 years of age. If I can play against the likes of Robben, Ribery and Gotze, I'm sure that will be fantastic for my development.

"I want to thank everyone at the Club. All the coaches, the staff and the fans. I had a great time here. I will never forget it and I hope to see them soon."
