Arsenal Football Club can confirm Benik Afobe has today joined Championship side Sheffield Wednesday on loan until the end of the 2013/14 season.
The Leyton born forward has enjoyed loan spells with Millwall, Bolton Wanderers, Reading and Huddersfield Town previously. He has made seven appearances for the Gunners’ Under-21s side this season, scoring four goals, including a late winner in the U21 Premier League Cup against Chelsea on Monday evening.
Afobe will look to gain first-team experience with Stuart Gray’s side, while helping the team to rise up the Championship table.
