Arsenal supporters have voted Lukas Podolski’s long-range strike in the Gunners’ 5-1 win over West Ham United as our January Goal of the Month.
Trailing 1-0 in the 22nd minute, Arsenal drew level when Podolski collected the ball 25 yards from goal and unleashed a thunderous effort that flew into the corner of the net.
Podolski’s goal received 31 per cent of the votes in our poll. Kieran Gibbs’ stunning volley at Swansea City in the FA Cup had to settle for second place with 25 per cent.
Jack Wilshere’s winner in the FA Cup replay against the Swans rounded off the top three, with Santi Cazorla's backheel against West Ham just behind.
