Anna Moorhouse joins Arsenal Ladies

Arsenal Ladies have signed goalkeeper Anna Moorhouse.

The 21-year-old has joined us from Doncaster Belles, where she enjoyed a successful season between the sticks.

A strong, towering presence at the back, Anna will join Dutch international Sari Van Veenendaal in our first team squad.

Anna said: “It’s a dream to have signed for Arsenal Ladies. I want to continue to work hard, to develop as a keeper, and to gain as much experience as possible. I can’t wait to get started.”

As a young girl, Anna began her football career with non-league side Chaddy End. She was spotted by Manchester United scouts at the age of 16 and after 12 months in Manchester, she moved to Everton Ladies.

In 2015 Anna transferred to Durham Women. In a game against Doncaster Belles that season, she impressed the bosses of The Belles and just a few months later made the move to the WSL2 side.

Pedro Martinez Losa said: “We are very pleased to have completed the signing of Anna. She is a powerful, towering keeper who is very driven and eager to develop. I’m looking forward to working with her.”

Everyone at Arsenal would like to welcome Anna to the club.

This transfer is subject to regulatory processes.
