'You’ve got to feel for Alex Iwobi'

It was a game that swung one way and then the other, but it finished in a 2-2 draw that suited PSG more than it suited us.

We need a favour from Ludogorets on the last night of the group stage but top spot is still up for grabs - and qualification is secure.

Aaron Ramsey was in the thick of the action on Wednesday and his gave his view after the match:

on the result…
It’s disappointing but it was important not to lose tonight. We’ve got to go to Basel and get a win. [Hopefully] we can finish off the job.

on Arsenal’s second goal…
I thought I was going to have a clean shot on goal but he just got a little nick to the ball and moved it slightly. I managed to get something on it. It was a bit of a messy goal but we’ll take it.

on Iwobi’s involvement in PSG’s equaliser…
You’ve got to feel for him, but he wasn’t aware of what was behind him. I feel for him but we’re in it together. It was important not to lose and that’s what we managed not to do.

on his altercation with Cavani…
Those things happen on the football pitch, but it’s fine - we shook hands at the end and it’s nothing.

ADVERT

on if Cavani made contact with his face…
I think so, but these things happen in the heat of the moment. I’ve got no issues with it.

on if Cavani should have been sent off…
No, that’s up to the ref to decide.

on top spot…
We really want it. I believe in the quality of this team and that we can go to Basel and win the game. That’s what we’ll be aiming to do.

on being confident ahead of Basel…
Yeah of course. We’ll go there and try to get the win. Full credit to the lads tonight, we gave everything.
