Francis Coquelin says choosing between Steph Curry and LeBron James is similar to the 'Lionel Messi or Cristiano Ronaldo' debate.
The Arsenal midfielder is a huge basketball fan and says it will be a “great experience” to visit Los Angeles, the home of the Lakers.
“I did like Kobe Bryant but now he’s retired so I think it’s a shame for the league,” Coquelin told Arsenal Player.
“[The NBA season] was incredible. Obviously I expected Golden State to win it but what the Cavaliers have done is unbelievable. I’m happy for LeBron James to go back to his hometown and win the league.
“[Choosing between Steph Curry and LeBron] is a little bit like ‘Cristiano or Messi?’ in our sport. There is someone who is naturally gifted and a special talent and the other one’s got talent as well but works really hard.
“I really like Steph Curry but it’s two different types of player and I like both of them.”
