Sari van Veenendaal has been named SSE Women’s FA Cup Player of the Round for her match-winning performance against Notts County.
The Netherlands goalkeeper helped Arsenal secure a place in the semi-final with three penalty saves in the shoot-out victory at Meadow Park.
Van Veenendaal then kept a clean sheet in the Gunners’ 7-0 win over Sunderland on Sunday, helping Arsenal set up a Wembley final against Chelsea on Saturday, May 14.
The goalkeeper said: “I’m really pleased to win the award, obviously penalties are always difficult so to make three saves was amazing. It was a strong team performance and I think it shows how focussed we are on winning the SSE Women’s FA Cup this season.”
