Arsenal Ladies Hub opens its doors

Arsenal Ladies have a new home at the club’s London Colney training ground ahead of the 2016 season.

The facility includes a new changing room, team meeting rooms, a physio room, an ice bath and office space for manager Pedro Martinez Losa and his team.

The Ladies also have access to a newly opened restaurant and a gymnasium, which is shared with the men’s academy sides.

The Hub is the latest in a series of major developments to the Arsenal Ladies’ setup.

The squad’s training schedule now mirrors Arsène Wenger’s first team, with daytime training sessions accompanied by recovery time, gym work and tactical meetings.

Losa’s backroom staff has also expanded. A technical coach and a strength and conditioning expert have joined player-coach Kelly Smith and the team physio ahead of the new term.

Arsenal Ladies general manager Clare Wheatley said: “Women’s football has come such a long way in recent years at the elite level and it’s important that Arsenal Ladies is at the forefront of those changes.

"We have always enjoyed the use of top class facilities at London Colney, but having our own Hub will give our players the best possible environment to prepare and recover from matches. It’s a big step forward for us.”

The new facility is part of a wider re-development of the Arsenal Training Centre. Click HERE for more details.
