Alexis says he is happy in north London - because he feels like part of the Arsenal “family”.
The Chile forward has established himself as a fans’ favourite since arriving from Barcelona in 2014, and is the Gunners’ second-highest goalscorer this season with 10 in all competitions.
While Alexis admits Tuesday’s Champions League defeat against his former side was “difficult”, he is backing his team-mates to bounce back at Manchester United on Sunday.
"Arsenal is now my family. It’s very fun to be here"
“On Tuesday in the Champions League, it was a difficult game,” he said. “But Arsenal are very supportive and we are happy at the club.
“Arsenal is now my family. It’s very fun [to be here] and now the focus is on the Premier League.
“A win [at Old Trafford] would be very important for myself, for the team, for everyone. I’m very happy here.
“It’s about the [important] moments. For example Leicester was a difficult game but the support was very strong for the team.
"For the players, it was really important to win against Leicester.”
