Emirates Stadium wins green award

Emirates Stadium

Arsenal received a gold award at the Mayor of London Business Energy Challenge 2015 this week, for a range of energy saving initiatives at the club.

Emirates Stadium’s halogen floodlights were replaced by LED floodlights from Musco Lighting this season, cutting energy consumption by 30%.

Significant upgrades were also made to the club’s Building Management System in 2015 to limit heating, gas and electricity usage throughout the stadium.

The club have recycled approximately ten tonnes of cardboard and plastic per month since the move to Emirates Stadium in 2006, with a further 1.5 tonnes of glass recycled each matchday.
