Santi Cazorla says it was an “easy decision” to sign a new contract with Arsenal.
The Spain playmaker agreed to extend his stay in north London last week after another excellent season for the Gunners in a deeper midfield role.
Cazorla has featured 149 times for the club and he believes that Arsenal is the perfect place for him to continue to develop as a footballer.

“I’m very happy to sign a new contract with the club,” he told Arsenal Player. “I think this is the best moment in my career and the best club for me, and for the future. I’m very happy and I want to try to help the team get more trophies.

“Every year we have a better team and we sign some good players every summer, like Mesut, like Alexis, like Petr Cech now, and this is important for me and the club. Of course we want to improve every year.
“I can only thank the fans for the support,” added Cazorla. “They are amazing for us and I want to play for this club, for them, and I try to play well. I want to enjoy it all together at the Emirates.”
