Arsene Wenger has ruled out a loan move for Calum Chambers this summer.
The Frenchman wants the defender to develop at Arsenal rather than temporarily leave the club, amid reported interest from previous club Southampton.
“They [Southampton] didn’t try to get him back on loan and I will not consider it. Not at the moment," said Wenger.
"I want to develop Chambers as a centre back and at the moment we have just the right number. He will get games here"

Wenger is still open-minded about adding to his squad before the transfer window closes.
“I don’t rule it out and I don’t promise it,” he said. “As I said recently in the press conferences, if we can still strengthen, we will do it.
“We spend when we think we have to spend and do not listen too much to what people think or say. We just try to make the right decisions.”
