Pedro Martinez Losa believes that Chioma Ubogagu has become a key player for Arsenal Ladies.
The American forward scored a second-half winner against Birmingham City on Sunday to help the Gunners reclaim second place in the Women’s Super League.
Ubogagu has also scored vital goals against Notts County, Bristol Academy and Manchester City this season, and Losa believes she has become a matchwinner for his side.
"All her family are Arsenal fans so it's very important that a player can come here and identify with the project and the club"
“Every player in our squad is capable of playing and we’re giving the young players opportunities,” the manager said. “I think that those players took their opportunity against Birmingham, especially Chioma and Leah Williamson. We are very proud and we have to keep working.
“Chioma is a player who has been given the opportunity to come from being a college player in America to play for Arsenal.
"All her family are Arsenal fans so it's very important that a player can come here and identify with the project and the club.
"Not only that, but she’s performing very well as a professional player.
“She’s a player who is very creative, who can find a goal very quickly and those are her best qualities.
"She is very strong at finishing the final third and also very good on one-on-ones. She has been the key to our victories in a few games this season.”
