The morning after Arsenal’s first match of the tour commenced with those players that had seen action against the Singapore Select XI completing a recovery session.
Upon returning to the hotel, the squad jumped into the swimming pool to cool off and, just as on Wednesday, entertained onlookers by playing head tennis. You can watch the video here.

The afternoon brought with it a first opportunity to view some of Singapore’s most striking sights. Per Mertesacker, Mesut Ozil, Mathieu Debuchy, Francis Coquelin, Gedion Zelalem, Chris Willock, Dan Crowley and Theo Walcott visited the iconic Merlion Park before taking a lift to the top of the Marina Bay Sands resort.

Meanwhile a group of 15 players took in the picturesque sights of the Gardens by the Bay, touring the Flower Dome - the world’s largest greenhouse - and ascending the Supertrees to view the city from an incredible vantage point.

The boys were back on the training pitch in the evening, though heavy thunderstorms meant the pitch had to be cleared midway through.
Another busy day concluded with the players venturing out of the hotel and going for a meal.
