Arsenal Ladies captain Kelly Smith has undergone successful surgery on her ankle.
Smith, who was injured during the FA WSL match with Sunderland on April 26, will now commence a rehabilitation programme with the Arsenal medical team. She will be working to return before the end of the 2015 FA WSL season.
Everyone at the club wishes Kelly well with her recovery.
