Senior executives from the Indian Super League have visited Emirates Stadium as part of a fact-finding tour of Premier League clubs.
The representatives spent time hearing how Arsenal has been building its name and support at home and around the world through marketing and digital activities. They then went on a tour of the stadium.
The guests, who also visited Crystal Palace and West Bromwich Abion, were hosted by Arsenal’s communications director, Mark Gonnella. “It was great to show them around Emirates Stadium and talk about some of the work we are doing to spread the name of Arsenal around the world," he said.
"There is massive interest in Arsenal and football in India and the Indian Super League had a great first season. They are working hard to establish the league and develop the game in that region.”
Andy Knee, vice president - football at IMG, who organised the trip, said: "The Indian Super League and its eight clubs enjoyed a very educational and inspiring visit to Arsenal, and are highly appreciative of the warm welcome we received.
"With a fantastic first season behind us, it was a great opportunity to learn from one of the world’s great clubs as to how they connect with and engage their fans. Our thanks to Arsenal, and we hope to be able to continue to work with the club to assist and promote Indian football."
