Alex Scott hailed Arsenal’s grit and determination after they secured back-to-back Women’s Super League victories.
Chioma Ubogugu scored the winner as the Gunners won 1-0 at Manchester City’s new Academy Stadium on Sunday, just five days after beating Bristol Academy.
Pedro Martinez Losa’s side have struggled with injuries recently but Scott was pleased with how they have responded to a busy schudule.
"There’s a few of us carrying injuries, myself included, so it’s been tough playing three games in a week"
“I think we did really well to see the game out,” the England defender said. “They played well with 10 and it’s something we have to learn from but we’ve done well to ride the storm.
“We wanted to carry the momentum from Wednesday’s win and we showed a lot of character. There’s a few of us carrying injuries, myself included, so it’s been tough playing three games in a week.
“It shows that we’ve got a lot of strength in depth. We want to be up the table before the World Cup break so it’s all about picking up as many points early on as we can.”
