Nacho - We have a positive dynamic now

14/15: Manchester United 1-2 Arsenal - Nacho Monreal

Nacho Monreal believes the positive dynamic around the Arsenal squad has underpinned the team’s consistent form in 2015.

Arsene Wenger’s side have won 15 of their last 17 matches and go into Saturday’s match at Burnley on the back of six straight league victories.

Monreal is expecting a testing trip to Lancashire but says his team-mates are “bursting with confidence”.

"We are bursting with confidence, playing very well and I think that is the vein in which we need to continue."

“The dynamic around the place is very positive and we have been able to beat teams both at the top and bottom of the table,” he said. “We are picking up points and playing well. That’s the general dynamic around the place at the moment - one of positivity.

“We had quite a difficult start to the season and those points we lost earlier in the season are proving to be a bit of a problem for us now. We are going through a very good spell now and the team is doing very well.

“We are bursting with confidence, playing very well and I think that is the vein in which we need to continue.

“We expect a very tough and competitive match. They are obviously in the relegation spots and obviously they are going to want to get out of that position.

“They will be playing at home in front of their own fans and of course they are going to want to try and beat us. So we are expecting a tough match.”

Jack Wilshere could return to the Arsenal squad on Saturday and Monreal is pleased that the midfielder has regained his fitness.

“Jack is a very important player for us and he has been showing what he can do for many years now,” Monreal said. “He has given us a lot over the years.

“We are very aware that he is a very good footballer and know what he can bring to us. This year he has had the misfortune of picking up quite a few injuries and he has been out of the side for quite a few games.

“However, he is about to return and we know that he is a strong player and with him we are going to be stronger.”
