Krystian Bielik is a “huge talent” who has shown "positive signs" in training, according to Arsene Wenger.
The teenage midfielder joined Arsenal from Legia Warsaw on Wednesday and has represented Poland at under-17 level.
Wenger confirmed Bielik will not play for at least three weeks but he believes he has the potential to make his mark on the first team.
"The first signs that we see are very positive in training"
"I would say, considering his age, he’s more one for the future," the manager told Arsenal Player.
"But let’s be open minded and let [him] surprise us. The first signs that we see are very positive in training.
"Because they had the winter break in Poland, we are just at the starting point of building him up fitness-wise.
"He’s a young boy and he has a huge talent."
