VIDEO: Wenger reacts to draw at Anfield

Arsene Wenger spoke to Arsenal Player after his side drew 2-2 at Anfield on Sunday. Here's what he had to say:

on how difficult the defeat is to take...
It’s difficult but overall it’s a fair result. Liverpool played well and we had problems keeping the ball today. What is disappointing is not so much the result, but the way we conceded the second goal. The team battled very hard and tried from the first to the last minute , but at the end of the day we conceded a goal because we didn’t jump on a corner.

"When we were 2-1 up we let them come at us so we could try to get them on the break"

on whether that makes it for frustrating after Szczesny’s saves…
It’s very frustrating. Wojciech had a good game. I don’t understand how it happened really on the corner. You can have a long ball like that, have time to move, but you cannot get there. It’s part of the game.

on what changed to make Arsenal improve in the second half…
We rectified our position on the pitch. It was much better in the second half and from then on we were much more in the game. When we were 2-1 up we let them come at us so we could try to get them on the break. Some players were less at ease today than they were recently and you could feel that in our game.

on why that was…
I don’t know, it’s true. We have to see why but some players were not at their best today.

on Santi Cazorla…
He played very well. He’s one of the players who turned up and he had a great performance.

on Boxing Day…
Let’s not forget it’s not a completely negative result. We played Liverpool and drew 2-2 - it can happen.
