Arsenal Ladies will be supporting the work of grassroots girls’ football clubs through a new club associate programme.
The scheme, which aims to grow the women’s game and aid the development of elite young female players, will support local teams with advice on training methods and recruitment.
The Gunners will also run special guest coaching sessions at local clubs, and offer their players the opportunity to be ball girls at Arsenal Ladies matches.
Arsenal Ladies development officer Ciara Allen said: “We are delighted to launch this new programme and to demonstrate our commitment to supporting the growth of the female game.
“The work that some of these clubs are doing within their local communities is fantastic and we hope to use this programme as a vehicle to support and expand their current work so we can help engage and retain more female players within football.”
