Arsene Wenger says past results will have no psychological effect on his players when they travel to Stamford Bridge on Sunday.
The Arsenal boss is yet to win against a Jose Mourinho-managed team and suffered a heavy defeat when the teams met in March.
However, Wenger insists his side are determined to avenge that result this weekend.
“In the last six, seven years they have always had fantastic teams and that is a very important [reason for the record]," the boss said.
"On the other hand, I believe it is not a game between two managers, it is a game between two teams and two clubs.
“We have a good opportunity to change history - the recent history was negative for us and [if we can change] that, we will do it."
