Jon Toral has joined Championship side Brentford on a season-long loan.
The 19-year-old midfielder, who joined Arsenal as a scholar in summer 2011, featured in the first team’s pre-season friendly at Boreham Wood in July and will stay at Griffin Park for the 2014/15 campaign.
Toral returned to action in November after recovering from a long-term injury suffered earlier in the year. The Spaniard scored on his first game back for the under-21s against Aston Villa and went on to net six more times in 20 appearances last season.
Toral signed for Arsenal alongside fellow Catalan Hector Bellerin in 2011 and, after an impressive opening few months to his Gunners career, signed professional terms with the club in February 2012.
Everyone at Arsenal wishes Jon well during his time with Brentford this season.
