Giroud - It's great to have Ramsey back

Aaron Ramsey

Olivier Giroud says it is significant that Arsene Wenger can call on a fit-again Aaron Ramsey in the final weeks of the season.

Ramsey was a stand-out performer in the first half of the season and picked up the man-of-the-match award in his first league start of 2014, at Hull City last week.

Mesut Ozil started on Humberside too and Giroud feels that their return from injury can help Arsenal to end the campaign strongly.

“We were waiting to get some players back so it's always nice to see them back in good form," the striker said. "Aaron is important right now, I think. [With] Mesut, we will need him again and maybe he will need another full game to feel pretty good on the pitch.

"Aaron played a great game at Hull, he's in amazing form, he's in really efficient form in front of goal"

“But Aaron played a great game at Hull, he's in amazing form, he's in really efficient form in front of goal. We will need everyone from now until the end of the season and it's good news for us."

Everton's defeat at Southampton on Saturday means that Arsenal need six points from their final three games to secure a place in the top four and Giroud is predicting a close finish.

“We know that Everton will be here until the end so we just have to keep focused on our performance and our game," he said.

“We know that if we win every single game… then we have the destiny in our own hands. We have to do the job and win these games."
