Lukas Podolski is eagerly anticipating Sunday's north London derby and has described games against Tottenham as a "special fight".
The Gunners are without a league win at White Hart Lane since 2007 but have already beaten Spurs twice at home this season.
Podolski, who scored in the midweek draw with Bayern Munich, is determined to put that run to an end on Sunday and says the players understand what these games mean to the fans.
"We must fight for the club, for the fans and I think this is an important game"
"I've always liked derbies," Podolski told Arsenal Player. "When I played in Munich, or Cologne or even here in Arsenal I always liked derbies because there's a special atmosphere and it's a special fight.
"We want to go there, get the three points and drive back home. This is important for us. We must fight for the club, for the fans and I think this is an important game so I look forward to Sunday now."
Podolski scored in the 5-2 win Tottenham at Emirates Stadium in 2012 and thinks derby goals will always have an extra significance.
"It's always special when you score a goal but it's more special when it's in a special game or in a derby," he said. "So it was a special goal and a special moment."
