Shelley Kerr spoke to Arsenal.com after Arsenal Ladies advanced to the FA Women's Cup final following a 2-1 victory against Liverpool at Anfield.

on a deserved win…
I think we thoroughly deserve to be in the final. We created so many chances tonight. When the scoreline is tight, it always gives your opponents a chance but we're thrilled as a club to be in the final and I think it's well deserved.

on a good response from Champions League disappointment…
I thought that the players responded in the right way but, as I've said in the lead-up to this game, they were so anxious to make amends from last year and I think you could see that. They've shown great character tonight but also great talent as well.

on a strong second-half performance…
We spoke about it at half-time. We said to them to be patient and do what they are capable of doing - keeping the ball and playing good football. We also told them to get at them early doors and within eight minutes we'd scored. It gives you a bit of comfort that we've gone out there and went at them. That gives you more confidence to go out and play.

on Anfield…
The girls were really looking forward to playing at a quality stadium with a great pitch. As a footballer, everyone wants to play at a ground like Anfield so they were really up for the game before it started.

on Liverpool…
They'll give a few teams problems this year. They're well organised and have spent a lot of finances and resource on getting some quality players in.

on the final…
We just have to prepare as well as we can. I don't think you can ever enjoy winning a game because the games are coming thick and fast. You have to turn your attention to the midweek game against Lincoln.
