Loan Watch: Updates on Elneny and Saliba

Loan Watch: Saliba
Loan Watch: Saliba

Five of our players were in action for their loan clubs over the weekend.

Scroll down to find out how they fared:

Mohamed Elneny played 90 minutes for Besiktas against Ankaragucu on Friday. The Egyptian saw his side score twice through Burak Yilmaz and Adem Ljajic in a 2-1 home win at Vodafone Park. Besiktas conceded a consolation goal late on, but it wasn't enough to stop them taking all three points.

William Saliba also enjoyed a full 90 minutes as Saint-Etienne drew 1-1 at home to Bordeaux on Sunday. Saliba's side levelled the scores on 68 minutes through Denis Bouanga after Josh Maja opened the scoring for the visitors.

Saint-Etienne were later reduced to 10 men with 15 minutes to play in the game. Mahdi Camara picked up a second yellow card but despite losing a man, Les Verts held on for a much-needed point in Ligue 1.

Emile Smith Rowe started in Huddersfield's 2-0 loss against Leeds on Saturday. Goals from Luke Ayling and Patrick Bamford separated the sides at Elland Road. Smith Rowe was eventually replaced by Juninho Bacuna with 18 minutes remaining.

Ben Sheaf played 71 minutes as Doncaster took all three points in a 1-0 win at MK Dons. Sheaf has featured 31 times this season, scoring twice and providing two assists. The win takes Doncaster up to ninth in League One, five points shy of the play-off places.

Jordi Osei-Tutu played the entirety of Bochum's 0-0 draw against Darmstadt. The 21-year-old has scored twice and provided one assist this season in 13 games. Bochum currently sit three points clear of the relegation zone.

Deyan Iliev did not feature in Jagiellonia's 1-0 victory over Slask on Saturday. The win moves the Polish side up to eighth in the Ekstraklasa. The game was decided by a second-half spot-kick from Czech midfielder Martin Pospisil.

Dinos Mavropanos is still sidelined for Nuremberg after picking up an injury against Darmstadt in February.

Roma did not have a match this weekend, giving Henrikh Mkhitaryan a well-deserved rest.
