Loan Watch: Lucas, Asano and Nwakali in action

We had three on-loan players in action over the weekend. Scroll down to find out how they got on.

Lucas featured in Deportivo La Coruna’s 1-0 loss at home to Atletico Madrid, who took all three points with a last-minute goal from Thomas Partey.

Takuma Asano played the full 90 minutes in Stuttgart’s 3-1 loss at Hamburg. The hosts opened the scoring after 20 minutes through Aaron Hunt, but Daniel Ginczek equalised from the spot following the break. However, two quick-fire goals from Filip Kostic and Jann-Fiete Arp saw off the visitors.

Kelechi Nwakali played the first 59 minutes of VVV-Venlo’s 0-0 draw at home to NAC Breda.

Marc Bola was an unused substitute in Bristol Rovers’ 4-2 defeat at Notts County. Although the visitors raced into an early 2-0 lead through Liam Sercombe and Stuart Sinclair, a Ryan Yates double before the break and goals from Jonathan Stead and Jorge Grant saw the hosts win.

Emiliano Martinez was an unused substitute in Getafe’s 2-2 draw at Real Betis. The visitors let a two-goal lead slip after Marcela Bergara and Francisco Portillo scored before half-time. Following the break, goals from Antonio Sanabria and Ryad Boudebouz saw the points shared.
